Soulmates and grilled cheese sandwiches

I just had one of the best weekends of my life. It was filled with constant laughter, jokes that make no sense whatsoever, a wine tasting,  the best grilled cheese sandwich ever, hiking, shopping, singing at the top of our lungs, and some pretty sweet dance moves. All because of this girl!

Friday night began with a huge welcoming hug and a wine tasting. The bartender and I hit it off. Probably because of my jokes.

Then in true soulmate fashion, Katie and I spent Friday night talking and laughing and asking Lawton, her wonderful husband, to bring us blankets.

Saturday, we woke up and took a trip to a hiking trail, where the goofing off continued, because why take anything seriously, ever?

This is the truest of love:

After our hike, Katie and Lawton whipped up some heavenly grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Then we headed to Wilmington for some shoppin’!

Um, here are some cats we saw.

We also saw this ship. I know it looks like a miracle is coming out of the water, but it’s actually just some camera malfunction with the sunset or something. I’m not a photographer. I’m a cat owner.

We ended Saturday night with some cider at a pub and some fish and chips down the road. Then, naturally, Katie and I stayed up Saturday night laughing and talking cause we love each other.

Love them.

Sunday night was sad. I wasn’t ready for my trip to end. And it didn’t help that the guy sitting next to me on the plane felt he needed to confide in me regarding his most recent romantic relationship and also the fact that he planned to listen to Taylor Swift for the entire plane ride home.

But it was bittersweet, because I was also reunited with the mutant, which is what we are now calling Casey per Katie’s suggestion after seeing Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.

Mr. Edward Magorium: I’ve hired an accountant.
Molly Mahoney: A what?
Mr. Edward Magorium: An accountant. According to the word, it must be a cross between a counter and a mutant and that may be precisely what we need.

I’ll end with that, because it feels like the right thing to do.
