Last night I went to Crisp for the third time since its recent opening. I pretty much showed up the waiter with my ability to describe every item on the menu in detail. I don’t know why they haven’t offered me a job. The food is outstanding, the wine is excellent, and the live music (when its playing) speaks to my heart. The wine does that too.
I went with two old friends I haven’t seen in literally forever, which is really like 5 years or so, but when you’re only 24 and full of youth, five years is a long time.
I know I look overly-excited in this picture, but the whole situation was very overwhelming with all the good things going on in one small space. Also, drinking wine turns my cheeks red. Coincidentally, so does severe embarrassment.
Lacey, Mallory and I reminisced and caught up for a long while. When I say “reminisced,” I mostly mean we talked about when this girl used to call me “farm girl” in sixth grade, even though I’ve never lived on a farm. I just wore a ribbon in my hair that was red and white checkered, and I guess it reminded her of a farm. It was a really rough period of my life.
The wine I drank with Lacey and Mallory last night paid off, because my heart was SUPER healthy this morning at 5 a.m. when I woke up for kickboxing. Rachel and I are continuing our week of fitness, and no one is more surprised than us that we’ve managed to make it to exercise classes before the sun comes up. Those fermented grapes really kept my heart pumping.
Last night, we obviously also discussed the cuteness of my cats. I was surprised they even knew I had cats, since I haven’t seen them since before Lucy and Molly gracefully sauntered into my life.
Speaking of Lucy, she is not participating in health week. She is, however, participating in watching The Big Bang Theory. Her favorite character is Sheldon.

Eaww I know exactly who you are talking about.
We MUST do it again!!!! every 5 years simply won’t cut it.
