Thanks to an unexpected Christmas bonus, I got a new blog design! Big thanks to Blogger Boutique, who I’ve reviewed below.
My blog is fairly new, but I have been an avid blog-reader for quite sometime. I knew originally I would need something free, but as soon as I got a surprise Christmas bonus from work I knew right away I wanted to spend it on a redesign, and after tons of research, I found Blogger Boutique. Her testimonials were terrific, and everyone often talked about her knack for responding quickly. However, it still amazed me how fast Julie not only responded, but did exactly what I asked. She was able to implement features I hadn’t thought of–some of which are my favorite parts about the design. Even though she used a template for me personally, it still looks completely customized and totally “me.” Everything was done with such professionalism and efficiency that I do not have even one tiny complaint. I can only hope a brilliant idea jumps into my mind soon so I can contact Julie to execute it. She was worth every Christmas bonus dollar I spent!
Speaking of blogging, I also attended the The Houston Blogger Symposium Holiday party! I met tons of interesting gals. One of which told me her cat learned quantum physics and subsequently bought three universes. Which obviously made me realize what under-acheivers Lucy and Molly are. They are going to have to start showing some ambition if I am going to make my millions. I only snapped one shot, because I was too busy talking about my cats and how they don’t know anything about any kind of physics or own anything whatsoever, and also drinking grinches and rudolphs. I give you…Santa. AKA Megan‘s husband, Danny. AKA a person who often works with people in my office. AKA funny dude.
var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-36785321-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

I’m so glad we got to meet, Megan! (And you’re right. There really are a million Meg and Megan bloggers in Houston!) I know we didn’t hang out for too long, but we’ll have to make sure to connect again at the next event. By the way, are you signed up on the Houston Blogger Social Club and the FB page?
